While some people love AutoCorrect others prefer to proof read the old fashion way. If you've reached a stage in your relationship with AutoCorrect where you're ready to throw in the towel, follow the steps below in Word 2007 to turn off AutoCorrect.
Stop Word from ruining your spellingSometimes, especially where surnames are concerned, Word autocorrects spelling that it thinks is incorrect. To fix this, you need to add your specific word to the dictionary. To do this, type your word, as it should appear then, before pressing space or enter, right click it and click Add to dictionary. This tells Word that it's ok to leave the word as it is Stop Word from capitalising your wordsSome words are supposed to be kept in lower case. For example, the brand name "gizmo" should always be spelt in lower case so that it matches the logo. Now if you were to start a sentence with the word "gizmo" it would automatically get capitalised to become "Gizmo". To stop this from happening:
