Countdown to Christmas

Before you know it, most of us will be doing the mad rush to ensure the Chrissy tree is stocked with goodies for all the family. The latest tech gadgets will always be a pleaser, and due to their popularity you should consider getting in early to avoid being disappointed. Read on for gift ideas for all the family, which are not just computer related gadgets.

For the kids

Open your child’s eyes to the possibilities of clean energy with the Salt Water Fuel Car. Get them thinking about building the real thing! Obviously it doesn’t require batteries – just add salt water, where it can run for 5-7hrs continuously. Suitable for ages 8 and up and pretty inexpensive.

For mum and dad

Enjoy some clean fun with a Temperature Sensing LED Shower Head. It allows you to instantly see at a glance whether the temperature is too hot, cold or just right.

Every household needs a good torch. So why not invest in one that gives you all the light you need, when you need it.  Just make sure you aren’t blinding the aliens in the next galaxy with this top notch LED Torch.

If mum or dad is a camera buff, they’ll appreciate the awesomeness of these lens like coffee mugs and matching thermos!

For the whole family to enjoy

  • Internet-Enabled TV  Flat Screen TV’s have dropped in price considerably over the years, to the point they become a very affordable Christmas present for the whole family to enjoy. Not only do your Blu-Ray movies look amazing, but you can enjoy the real 3D experience as well.

Getting the internet on the TV is becoming the norm these days too, not to mention chatting to friends over Skype from the comfort of your living room.
  • Apple iMac  Grab a family a nice big 27” iMac this Christmas, and we’re sure there will be long-lasting smiles – even if you do burn the turkey!
  • Digital Radio Apart from being able to listen to your favourite radio station in superior digital sound quality, you will have access to hundreds of other international radio stations, once you connect it to your wireless network. You’ll be able to tune by station name not frequency, scroll the text on the screen with artist and song information, weather and news updates. And, some digital radio models include the ability to pause and rewind live radio and broadcast slideshow images. The technology allows in the future for downloadable music direct to the radio's memory and Electronic Program Guides.
  • A tablet. Read our article on ‘Comparing tablets’, for our top 5. Expect this to be a hot item this Christmas, and with so many to choose from, they will no doubt be some great deals out there.
